Meet Us

Combining our love of sewing and quilting with our love of dogs seemed to be a natural marriage. Dog House Quilts was born in 2007. We are located in Meadville, PA. This is the home of Dad's Pet Products, Channellock Tools and the birthplace of the zipper.

Cathy is my sounding board, voice of reason and the first one packed and ready for a road trip whether it is to get fabric or to go to a dog show (her husband just asks when she'll be back). Cathy has been sewing for over 30 years and still hates to iron. I am Gerry and the logo is my reason for this business. Our family white bulldog, Phoenix, would sleep beside me every time I sat down to sew. I was a Home Economics teacher (Family and Consumer Science)for 24 years and am now a high school Guidance Counselor. I found that I really needed to make time to sew once I became a guidance counselor. I have always enjoyed making quilts and when Phoenix passed in November of 2006 I decided to honor his memory and make quilts that would combine the silk screened dogs with dog fabrics.

I have heard from several people who have had to give up their dogs because they have moved into assisted living that having a quilt with their breed of dog has been a great comfort.

Our product line expands every year. We have added wholesale items for those shops who would like to purchase in volume.

We also do special requests and Specialty Show trophies.

All designs are proprietary protected.

Visit us every Saturday May 1 - Dec. 18 at The Cross Roads, Westfield, N.Y. 12 miles from Lake Chautauqua in western New York.
